WOW ! Its now official !

Bordeaux's youngster, Obertan who is only 20 years old has past the medical and signed for Manchester United on a 4 year deal.

What an achievement this is really. I am very happy for him and hopefully he can prove himself in the EPL so that Blanc can look at him and regret not giving him more of a chance at Bordeaux

Yeah my thoughts exactly. I am extremly anxious as to see how Obertan will do in the EPL. I honestly liked him from the very first time I watched him play and honestly thought he was one of the biggest under rated talents in Ligue 1 but nice to see that Manchester had an eye on him this whole time. Great signing and wish him the best of luck.

But hey Liban you also hear about Lyon managing to get Lisandro Lopez signature. It is a great signing for them but I was quite surprised to see him come to the french league.

Some very interesting signings this summer so far, but there is still a long while for the transfer market to close !

I dont know if any of you heard but Lyon managed to sign Michel Bastos !!

Quote
Lyon agree Bastos deal

Michel Bastos completed his €18m move from Lille to Lyon on Thursday afternoon and immediately revealed his aims for the season: score more than 14 goals, break into the Brazil squad and, of course, win the title back for his new club...
Bastos, 25, joins OL after three seasons with Lille, with whom he finished the 2008/09 campaign with the most goal assists in Ligue 1, described the move as a dream come true.

Dream come true

"I feel great because I've just signed for what I believe to be the greatest team in France," said the former Gremio winger. "Before I arrived in France I already knew of Lyon, Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain, but in Brazil, when people speak about French football they speak about Lyon.

"Today, to wear this shirt is a dream come true, I'm delighted."

Man I am so excited for the kick off to the 09/10 season ! There have already been many great signings this summer and this one being one of them. Though its still not over; approximately 1 month and a half left of the transfer window remaining so there is plenty of time for more surprises this summer !

Anyhow, what do you think of this done deal ?

Brazilian winger Michel Bastos has clinched his €18million (£15.4m) move to Lyon from Ligue 1 rivals Lille.

The 25-year-old has signed a four-year deal at Stade de Gerland ahead of the new season in France.

Bastos admits he aspired to join Lyon, who will be hoping to improve on a third-placed finish last term

"Today I have signed for a club which is, for me, the best in France," he said.

"I am wearing this jersey and it is a dream come true."

Wow some credit to Lyon here. They are seriously trying to strengthen their squad for next year. It seems even though after winning the title 8 years in a row that it did hurt them loosing it this year.

First they sign Lucho, then Bastos and now Cissokho. All great signings !

Official: Lyon Capture FC Porto Defender Aly Cissokho

The French club have finally struck a deal for the 21-year-old left-back...

Aly Cissokho has signed a five-year contract with Lyon after the French side agreed a €15 million fee with Porto.

As reported earlier, the Dragons will be entitled to 20 per cent of a future sale of Cissokho by Lyon.

According to Lyon's official website, Cissokho has passed a medical with the club and will train for the first time with his new club on Monday morning, before being presented to the media together with Michel Bastos.

Cissokho, 21, joined Porto from Vitoria de Setubal in January and rose to prominence in the Champions League quarter-finals with two eye-catching performances against Manchester United.

Lyon sure wont give Marseille, Bordeaux, PSG, or Toulouse and etc any easy time for the title next year.

I'm looking forward to seeing how well the Bordeaux youngster, Obertan, can play at Manchester United. Wink

Its now official that Marseille have reached an agreement with Real Madrid to land Gabriel Heinze ! To be honest, Real fans were under rating him alot these days. Yes he is getting older but he has lots of experience and I see nothing wrong with him. I think he will do just fine at Marseille !

Heinze on way to OM

Marseille have announced that they have agreed a deal to sign Argentine defender Gabriel Heinze from Real Madrid. Presuming he passes a medical, the 31-year-old will put pen to paper on a three-year deal.
If there are no last minute hitches, Heinze will become the tenth player to join OM this summer.

The former Manchester United player has spent two seasons with Real Madrid. The versatile defender spent three seasons with Paris Saint-Germain before moving to Old Trafford, featuring over 100 times for the capital club and winning the French Cup in 2004, the year when he was also part of Argentina's victorious Olympic squad.

Whats the latest with Gourcuff & Aly Cissokho?

On my first day back at school my teacher explains to my class she is an Inter fan.
She asks students to raise their hands if they are also inter fans.

Wanting to impress the teacher everyone but me raises their hand.
The teacher looks at me and says "Aaron, why didnt you raise your hand?"

"Because I'm not an Inter fan "I replied.
My teacher ,shocked ,asked"well if your not an Inter fan, then who are you?"

"I'm a Milan fan and proud of it!" I replied.
My teacher could not belive her ears."Aaron why are you a Milan fan? "

"Because my mom is a Milan fan and my dad is Milan fan, so I'm a Milan fan too!"
"Well," said my teacher in an obviously annoyed tone, "that is no reason for you
to be a Milan fan. You don't have to be just like your parents all the time. What
if your mom were an idiot and your dad were an a$$hole, what would you be then?"

"Then" I slowly smile "I'd be an Inter fan"
